Pakistan has roughly the same population as Brazil – the largest country in the Southern Hemisphere – but the South Asian nation occupies an area ten times smaller.
With only 1 out of 8 people in the country having their own bank accounts, there is an overwhelming need for the government and private sector to work together to broaden the access to financial services – not just for the poor – but for the remaining 170 million citizens of the country.
